Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a C# Developer - II to join our remote-enabled team supporting the Veterans Affairs department. You will design and implement .NET back-end services, craft RESTful APIs, and participate in CI/CD with modern tooling.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in .NET development, strong C# skills, and experience with Azure or AWS, SQL Server, and unit testing. This is a W2, 100% US-based remote role with a public trust requirement and competitive salary.

Qualifications

Five or more years of software development using .NET technologies.
Strong C# expertise and knowledge of .NET Framework/.NET Core.
Experience with MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
Database design with SQL Server and Entity Framework.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with source control (Git, TFVC) and IDEs (Visual Studio).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Perform planning, requirements definition, testing, and integration for software systems.
Develop .NET back-end services, write unit tests, and support CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate in daily stand-ups and with stakeholders to refine requirements.
Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Mentor junior developers and promote best engineering practices.
Document designs with diagrams and module descriptions.
