Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Lead Buyer/Planner for the North American Wind Operations to ensure timely delivery of materials, support production schedules, and drive procurement excellence.

This role influences supplier performance and operational metrics across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include end-to-end purchasing, ECO support, and collaboration with master scheduling and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, planning, supply chain, or engineering.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
• Experience expediting materials and managing Line of Balance (LOB).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own the full purchasing lifecycle for assigned components from planned order release to supplier delivery, receipt, and payment.
• Execute and manage purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time production support.
• Partner with Master Scheduling and Engineering to support ECOs and maintain accurate order execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively expedite materials to mitigate risks.
• Drive improvements in supply chain metrics through data analysis and problem solving.
• Collaborate with Global Commodity Leaders to align sourcing strategies for Schenectady manufacturing operations.
• Resolve supply chain constraints and implement corrective actions to improve material availability.
• Support planning activities balancing inventory, supplier capacity, and production requirements.
• Build partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive accountability and execution.
