Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Buyer/Planner for our North America Wind Operations team. You will own the full purchasing lifecycle for assigned components, ensuring on-time material flow to support manufacturing and turbine delivery.

You will collaborate with Master Scheduling, Engineering, and Global Commodity Leaders to optimize sourcing, expedite when needed, and improve supplier performance through data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, planning, supply chain or engineering.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
• Experience supporting supplier delivery, expediting materials, and LOB requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and drive resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the full purchasing lifecycle for assigned components, from planned order release through supplier delivery, receipt, and payment.
• Execute and manage purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time production support.
• Partner with Master Scheduling and Engineering teams to support ECOs and maintain accurate order execution.
• Monitor supplier performance and expedite materials to mitigate delivery risks and disruptions.
• Drive improvements in key supply chain and procure-to-pay metrics via data analysis and problem solving.
• Collaborate with Global Commodity Leaders to align sourcing strategies and support supplier performance.
• Resolve supply chain constraints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support operational planning while balancing inventory, supplier capacity, and production requirements.
• Build strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive accountability and execution.
