Hatch Ltd. seeks a Senior Buyer in Pittsburgh, PA to lead procurement activities for engineering and construction projects. The role covers planning, initiation through close-out of all purchasing packages and interfacing with engineering, expediting, logistics and site materials control.

The Senior Buyer will manage vendor selection, bid processes, commercial terms, and contract administration, ensuring compliant and timely procurement aligned with project demands.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in EPCM project environments and capital projects.
• Experience with purchasing of project materials including engineered and bulk items.
• Familiarity with contracting terms, taxation, and importation laws.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and freight forwarding processes.

Responsibilities

• Implement purchasing procedures and templates for the project.
• Manage the purchasing team toward defined objectives and deliverables.
• Prepare Bidder’s List and issue Invitations to Bid to approved Bidders.
• Manage bidding process including technical queries and addenda.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and liaise with Client on terms.
• Facilitate kickoff meetings and handover to expediting.
• Close out purchase orders per project procedures.
• Provide supervision and training to purchasing personnel.
