Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Site Planner / Scheduler to lead detailed project schedules and governance across EPCM metals projects. The role calls for balancing scope, timelines, and milestones while mentoring junior planners.

You will work with engineering, procurement and construction teams to align inputs, develop network models, and manage critical paths, cost and schedule risk, ensuring effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in execution of complex metals projects; steel experience preferred.
• Hands-on planning with logic diagrams, CPM networks, and detailed schedules.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Project; strong data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; coordinate teams.
• Ability to mentor junior planners; lead IPS and schedule governance.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; strong organizing ability.
• Experience with resource allocation and earned value analysis.
• Coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Proactive in identifying risks, delays, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using WBS and AWP.
• Lead Integrated Planning Sessions (IPS).
• Collaborate across disciplines to gather inputs.
• Establish critical path and project duration.
• Prepare Level 1–3 schedules and management reports.
• Perform schedule risk analysis and recommend actions.
• Update schedules reflecting progress and governance.
• Support schedule deviation management for changes.
• Coordinate and mentor team of planners.
