Job summary

Meadow Creek Post-Acute in California is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee the facility's billing, collections and AR processes. The BOM will ensure accurate Medicaid/Medicare and private payer billing, while maintaining compliance with federal and state guidelines.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year BOM experience in SNF, PCC billing knowledge, and strong attention to detail. This salaried role includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to improve revenue cycle

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year BOM experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
• Collections and outstanding receivables experience preferred.
• 1 year experience with Medicaid, Medicare, HMO and other insurance billing and collections.
• Point Click Care (PCC) billing system experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise billing and collecting resident accounting functions.
• Responsible for input of billing information for Medicaid, Medicare, managed care, hospice and other claims.
• Oversee the patient billing system to ensure accuracy of patient account billing information.
• Manage all patient accounts receivable balances including Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Private pay and other payers.
• Front-end collections of AR balances from residents and guarantors at admission and follow-ups.
• Back-end collections of AR balances after discharge.
• Manage Medicaid pending applications and conversions for timely resolutions.
• Month-end closing of the billing system per policy and timelines.
• Process charges, adjustments, refunds, payment postings and write-offs timely.
• Ensure patient bills and collection letters are processed accurately and timely.
