Job summary

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to drive strategic initiatives and deliver digital solutions across RT Specialty's business processes. You will bridge solutions with business objectives, leading or contributing to multiple projects with agility and stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Agile, and experience in data analysis, planning, and leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) and 3 - 5 years of relevant experience required, preferably with consultative experience or business/systems analysis in a complex business environment.
• Prior experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is desirable
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Experience with Agile development techniques and supporting tools desirable
• Prior experience using Jira and Confluence is desirable
• Experience with insurance policy management/administration systems is desirable
• Project management skills such as defining scope, maintaining project plans and driving project teams desirable
• Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
• Able to cultivate interpersonal client, partner, co-worker and executive relationships
• Experience handling multiple deliverables and moving adeptly between internal and external issues and interactions
• Willingness to learn new technologies and take on new responsibilities
• Ability to perform job duties and manage workload with little or no supervision
• Demonstrating a strong work ethic and setting an example of excellence
• Ability to multi-task while consistently maintaining strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and partnerships with key business stakeholders, staying current on their needs, challenges and strategies.
• Gather detailed requirements, identify improvements and best practices, propose new or optimized solutions and develop execution strategies.
• Develop and execute a project communication plan for updates, facilitating project meetings, working sessions, and presentations.
• Gather, synthesize, and analyze complex data to recognize trends and extract insights across the business.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, developing UAT plans and testing strategies when necessary.
• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in relevant software, solutions and business processes to define requirements and guidance.
• Participate in agile team sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others and managing resources.
• Lead or participate in multiple, complex projects with milestones and risk management.
• Identify ways to increase adoption and user satisfaction, improving customer experience.
