Job summary

Seneca Resources seeks a Senior Business Analyst to help Government customers understand operational challenges and translate complex problems into clear requirements. You will lead discovery, map processes, and develop findings that inform decisions about process and system improvements.

The role translates the statement of work into a practical discovery and requirements plan and works with the Project Manager and team to design interviews and workshops.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience in business analysis, requirements development, or business process improvement.
• Experience planning and leading discovery from a defined engagement scope, including designing workshops.
• Strong ability to map and analyze business processes across teams and document decision points and bottlenecks.
• Experience with AI tools in analysis and documentation, including verifying outputs against evidence.

Responsibilities

• Interpret the statement of work to define discovery objectives and develop a sequenced plan.
• Independently design the requirements-gathering approach and workshops.
• Lead interviews and facilitate workshops to uncover unstated needs and differences between documented procedures and actual practice.
• Translate validated findings into clear, verifiable business and system requirements.
