Job summary

WaTech (Washington Technology Solutions) is seeking two Senior Business Analysts to support the Workers’ Compensation Systems Modernization (WCSM) program in Olympia, WA. Hybrid telework is approved, with onsite presence as needed at the Olympia office.

The program aims to modernize L&I systems from mainframe to cloud-first, delivering new capabilities while advancing statewide operations. Candidates should bring extensive BA experience, plus leadership in requirements, UAT, and process

Qualifications

• 10 years of IT-related experience performing business analysis across core BA activities.
• Experience in at least three of: Agile/SDLC, business requirements, stakeholder engagement, and UAT support.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree may substitute up to four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on user stories, acceptance criteria, epics, use cases, and prototypes.
• Ensure requirements traceability across design, config, docs, tests, and deployments.
• Lead cross-program business process mapping to support workflow redesign and modernization.
• Identify automation and workflow improvements to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.
• Analyze complex interdependencies between business processes and applications.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.
• Translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Prepare dashboards and reports communicating progress, risks, and impacts.
• Support and guide junior BAs in coordinating cross-program meetings and follow-ups.
• Prioritize backlog items with project managers and product owners.
