Job summary

State of Washington is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst for DSHS to help translate business needs into actionable requirements for Workday implementation and One Washington initiatives. You will facilitate discussions, document workflows, and identify gaps between current systems and Workday capabilities.

You will engage with financial applications experience, support testing, and coordinate with developers and business partners to ensure effective solutions within a defined project timeline.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, business administration, or a closely related field and five years of professional IT experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in one of those fields and seven years of professional IT experience.
• Associate degree in one of those fields and nine years of professional IT experience.
• Eleven years of professional IT experience.
• Four years of experience with financial applications such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, asset management, general ledger, or budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial processes, business needs, and system impacts.
• Gather, document, validate, and prioritize requirements.
• Facilitate discussions with business and technical teams.
• Map workflows and compare current processes with Workday capabilities.
• Identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with developers, testers, and business partners.
• Support test planning, user acceptance testing, and defect analysis.
• Track requirements, deliverables, and project issues.
• Present findings and recommendations to leadership.
