Job summary

COPT DEFENSE PROPERTIES, LP is seeking an experienced Building Technician to maintain and repair commercial building systems in Chantilly, Virginia. You will manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems, coordinate with subcontractors, and uphold safety codes while operating building automation systems.

The role requires at least five years of hands-on technician experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid license where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant technician experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical fields.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational HVAC/electricity/plumbing coursework preferred.
• CFC/EPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Monitor subcontractors for maintenance/repairs and QC their work.
• Maintain tools and inform Chief Engineer of needs for replacement or repair.
• Be on 24/7 on-call for emergencies and respond promptly.
