Job summary

COPT Defense Properties is seeking a skilled Building Technician to join our property operations team in Baltimore, MD. You will perform preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems, ensuring safety code compliance and proper documentation in our CMMS.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years as a technician in HVAC, plumbing or electrical fields.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of relevant technician experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical).
• Proficiency with reading electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and ensure safety codes.
• Report modifications and repairs into CMMS for supervisor review.
• Monitor subcontractors and perform quality control of their work.
• Respond to emergency situations on a 24-hour on-call basis.
