Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a skilled Building Systems Technician to perform complex tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building systems. Under supervision, you will inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations and compliance with safety standards.

You will respond to emergencies, read blueprints, operate emergency generators, and support preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; algebra/geometry proficiency.
• Four years’ experience in building systems operations or HVAC/building automation.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Universal and OSHA 10-hour General Industry Safety.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair building systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and implement correct response protocols.
• Read blueprints, schematics and equipment manuals; operate generators.
• Provide high level customer service and communicate with stakeholders.
