Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Operating Engineer to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex facility systems. The role focuses on electrical, HVAC, piping/plumbing tasks, while ensuring energy efficiency and safety across systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, analyze BAS data, and respond to emergencies. The position is on-site, 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) with hourly pay of $36.06–$40.85 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with two years of trades schooling in electrical design, refrigeration and HVAC.
• Universal Technician for CFCs certification.
• 4+ years of related work experience in a commercial/industrial environment, especially HVAC, plumbing, or electrical maintenance.
• 2+ years using CMMS/PM software and BAS for monitoring RTU performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems equipment.
• Analyze complex system issues using BAS, blueprints, and measurements to identify root causes.
• Perform preventive maintenance for HVACR and chiller systems and coordinate tools and materials.
• Maintain electrical systems including power distribution and lighting; support plumbing and safety systems.
