Job summary

Battelle seeks a Building Control Operator to monitor and maintain the BAS across a lab campus in West Jefferson, OH. The role requires responding to alarms, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating follow‑ups to keep critical operations running smoothly.

This 3rd shift position includes a 10% shift differential and opportunities to contribute to energy savings programs while leveraging CMMS and BAS software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; three years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with building automation systems and HVAC processes.
• Ability to read drawings, manuals, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain BAS to support complex lab operations.
• Respond to BAS alarms and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Support site energy savings initiatives and CMMS records.
• Operate equipment during 3rd shift and handle overtime when needed.
