Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. seeks a Building Operations Engineer to maintain and repair site systems across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing networks.

The role requires diagnosing issues, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring safety and reliability of facilities with on-call availability. You will perform preventative maintenance, log activities, handle work orders, and support snow removal and general site operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• NJ Black Seal license required.
• Minimum of 5 years previous building operations engineering experience.
• Must be CFC certified in high pressure discipline.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills.
• Holds any necessary/required licenses.
• Must have the ability to complete required safety classes that pertain to specific job duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and monitor utility systems.
• Respond to tenant safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and environmental requests.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs; use work order software.
• Coordinate outside contractors and manage work orders.
• Ensure safety of tenants and continuous site operations.
• Follow site operating procedures and assist in snow/ice removal with vendors.
• Maintain organized building files.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
