Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Operations Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems on site, coordinating with contractors to ensure safe, continuous operations for tenants.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least 5 years of building operations experience, CFC certification, strong multitasking and computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. We offer parental leave, backup care, generous PTO, a referral program and networking

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years in building operations engineering.
• Must be CFC certified in high pressure discipline.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills.
• Holds any necessary licenses.
• Must complete required safety training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems on site.
• Work at a single building and coordinate with outside contractors.
• Respond to tenant safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and environmental needs.
• Prepare maintenance logs and use work order systems.
• Assist in snow and ice removal and coordinate plowing with vendors.
• Maintain organized building files and follow procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
