Job summary

Newmark is seeking a Building Operations Engineer for a Massachusetts site. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing, and coordinate with tenants and outside contractors.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 5+ years of building operations experience, a CFC certification in high-pressure systems, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks on site including after-hours support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 5 years building operations experience.
• CFC certification in high-pressure discipline.
• Strong multi-project management and decision-making.
• Proficient computer and email skills.
• Valid licenses as required.
• Must complete required safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MEP systems.
• Know building layout and life safety systems.
• Conduct periodic PM on MEP systems.
• Respond to tenant safety and environment requests.
• Maintain maintenance logs; use work order systems.
• Coordinate outside contractors and approvals.
• Perform assigned tasks to ensure safety.
• Follow all site operating procedures.
• Assist snow/ice control with outside vendors.
• Maintain organized building records.
• Other duties as assigned.
