Job summary

This role focuses on maintaining and repairing building systems to ensure reliable operations at a site within Newmark’s portfolio. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, responding to tenant requests, and coordinating with contractors to uphold safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2) NJ Black Seal license.
• 3) 5+ years of building operations engineering experience.
• 4) CFC certification in high-pressure discipline.
• 5) Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.
• 6) Proficient computer and e-mail skills.
• 7) Holds required licenses.
• 8) Ability to complete required safety classes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building operating systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Respond to tenant safety and environmental needs via personal contact and work orders.
• Prepare maintenance logs and use work order software.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenants, and management for outside work.
• Ensure safety and continuous operation of the site.
• Follow site operating procedures and assist in snow/ice operations.
• Maintain organized building files.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
