Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to operate and maintain building systems across properties. The role requires independent work with minimal on-site supervision and availability for after-hours emergencies, ensuring efficient, economical operation of equipment and services.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in building operations, a High School Diploma, relevant licenses, and strong computer skills to manage logs, work orders, and communications with vendors and tenants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 7+ years of building operations/engineering experience.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills.
• Holds necessary/required licenses and safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and check operating logs for air conditioning, fan units, utility meters and general complaints.
• Organize work orders to be performed by Building Engineers; ensure tenant services are efficient and cost-effective.
• Oversee and adhere to the established preventive maintenance program.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and RFP process for budgeted projects.
• Respond to tenant complaints and ensure timely, satisfactory service.
