Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Building Engineer/Operations leader to oversee the operation and maintenance of high‑quality office buildings. You will manage the engineering staff in collaboration with the Property Manager and ensure policies maximize asset value.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in engineering for large Class A facilities, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong communication with deep safety and compliance knowledge. This is a full‑time on‑site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 8–10 years of experience as an engineer in a 250K SF+ Class A building.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills are essential.
• Area licenses required; CFC universal preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical direction for operation and maintenance of the building.
• Manage the building engineering staff in conjunction with the Property Manager.
• Implement and track company policies to maintain asset at the highest level.
• Develop annual capital plan for building systems and related components.
• Monitor energy usage and propose efficiency improvements.
• Oversee budgeting, vendor bids, and contract management.
• Ensure OSHA/EPA compliance and safety adherence.
• Supervise tenant fit-up work and construction projects.
• Ensure after-hours technical coverage and staff training.
