Job summary

Jacobs in Denver is seeking a Senior Building Mechanical Engineer to lead design of mechanical systems for water and wastewater facilities, including plumbing, HVAC, odor control and fire protection, across administration and operations buildings and labs. You will prepare designs, coordinate with architects and other disciplines, mentor junior staff, and support construction with submittals and RFIs.

Requires PE license, B.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for design-build projects.
• PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and specification development for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, odor control, fire protection).
• Prepare design drawings and calculations and coordinate with architects, engineers, and vendors.
• Mentor designers and junior engineers; review submittals, RFIs, and quality control.
• Provide field support during construction and assist with as-built drawings and master plans.
