Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking a Building Technician III to lead and train other technicians while managing operations of HVAC, water purification, and process equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, manage inventories, and partner with engineers on improvements.

The role requires strong problem-solving, safety adherence, and teamwork to uphold high standards across facility operations in Texas. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Current universal refrigeration license and/or other trade licenses as required.
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Fundamentals of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work.
• Understanding heating, ventilation and cooling systems; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance, repairs, and general facility maintenance tasks.
• Mentors and trains fellow Building Technicians.
• Responds to Facility Service Work Orders including plumbing, HVAC, lighting, roofing and electrical.
• Troubleshoots fire/life/safety, security, and other building infrastructures.
• Adheres to safety policies and uses PPE.
• Collaborates with technicians to maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems; interprets blueprints/schematics.
• Records readings and logs data; takes corrective actions to prevent outages.
• Keeps tools and work areas clean and organized.
• Supports facility team-based goals and drives process improvements.
