Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to supervise and guide our building engineering team in Memphis, TN. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership capabilities, with a background in facilities maintenance and familiarity with CMMS and BAS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or degree in engineering, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Current Universal EPA/CFC certification required.
• Minimum of four years of experience in commercial building engineering or facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License required.
• Experience using CMMS platforms and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to respond on-site to emergency service calls within forty-five minutes of notification.
