Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Building Engineer to operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, energy management, and safe, efficient building operations.

Responsibilities include rounds, routine assessments, repairs, and adherence to safety and company standards, with on-site work and possible extended shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as required (Journeyman/Master Electrician or similar).
• Basic computing skills (Outlook, Excel & Word).
• Knowledge of energy management systems and building controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements for buildings.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, towers, and VAV systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and thermostats.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with property management.
• Complete safety trainings and follow company dress code.
• Document activities and report to supervisor.
