Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to operate and maintain the building's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at a commercial property. You will help ensure reliable performance, safety, and efficiency, including supervising maintenance staff when needed.

Responsibilities cover preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and coordinating with contractors, with emphasis on compliance and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as required (Journeyman or Master Electrician, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist with or conduct daily operations and maintenance of MEP systems and general maintenance requirements.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable and monitor maintenance activities and projects.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks including filters, lamps, bearings, belts, and other inspections.
