Job summary

Newmark Group in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ, is seeking an experienced Building Operations Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems across the site. The role requires reliable transportation and after-hours availability.

You will manage preventative maintenance, respond to tenant requests, and coordinate outside contractors to ensure safe, continuous operations. A minimum of 5 years of experience and CFC certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum of 5 years previous building operations engineering experience.
• CFC certification in high pressure discipline.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions.
• Proficient computer and e-mail skills.
• Holds any necessary licenses.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building operating systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Respond to tenant safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and environmental needs.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records; use work order systems.
• Coordinate contractor, tenant, and management approvals for external work.
• Assist in snow and ice clearing operations.
• Maintain organized building files.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
