Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Sr. Engineer to monitor complex building system operations, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling at a state-of-the-art facility.

The role sits within the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs. You will assign work orders, oversee contractors, and lead preventive maintenance while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of job-related experience.
• Certification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems or related fields preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and lift 50 lbs+.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assign work orders, estimate time/materials, and maintain supplies.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, and company directives.
• Develop energy management programs to optimize efficiency.
• Oversee contractors and inspect building systems like fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Lead preventive maintenance programs and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Communicate complex ideas effectively to stakeholders and teams.
• Coach colleagues and contribute to process and standards improvements.
