Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Building Engineer in Chandler, AZ to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. You will perform advanced maintenance, monitor operations and lead energy management efforts with autonomy to impact site performance.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating contractors, preparing task estimates, and ensuring safety compliance. Requires strong communication and ability to use work order systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and eight years experience in electrical systems, refrigeration and/or HVAC.
• Universal CFC certification and additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC or related systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety.
• Operate, maintain and monitor building equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, lighting, BAS/BMS).
• Prepare estimates detailing time, materials, and order necessary supplies.
• Maintain energy management programs to minimize operating costs.
• Oversee and inspect work by outside contractors including HVAC, plumbing and cleaning.
• Perform specialized tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, welding, and locksmith work.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns using work order systems and email.
