Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5–8 years of job-related experience; combination of experience and education considered.
• Universal CFC certification required.
• Additional certifications in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role (stooping, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs+).
• Innovative mentality to develop methods beyond existing solutions.
• Ability to solve unique problems with broad business impact.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exceptional organizational skills and numerical acumen.

Responsibilities

• Assign work orders and estimate time and materials for repairs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, life-safety and control systems.
• Ensure building systems meet applicable codes and safety directives.
• Develop and manage an energy management program for efficiency.
• Oversee work by outside contractors and respond to inquiries/complaints.
• Lead preventive maintenance programs to meet system lifespans.
• Review inspections of building systems and ensure proper operation.
