Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in California is seeking a Building Enclosure Senior Project Associate to lead and manage building enclosure consulting projects for a variety of facilities.

You will serve as the site-based technical consultant, perform forensics, BECx, and commissioning, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. This client-facing role emphasizes mentorship of junior staff and delivering practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Building Science, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years experience in building enclosure consulting including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx) or related activities.
• Licensure or certification in RA, PE, IIBEC or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage building enclosure consulting projects from setup through completion.
• Lead technical consulting on building enclosure design and provide solutions to project teams.
• Perform site observations, inspections of roofing and enclosure systems, and drafting/CAD work as needed.
• Develop testing plans and supervise specialized building enclosure testing.
• Interpret test results, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise field personnel and inspections.
• Prepare reports, review submittals, and communicate with clients on milestones.
