Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Building Enclosure Project Associate to support building enclosure consulting projects through field investigations, testing, analysis, and report preparation. You will work with seasoned consultants and multidisciplinary teams to assess envelope performance and deliver practical client solutions.

The role offers hands-on field experience, mentorship, and growth within a collaborative environment, with opportunities to manage multiple projects

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or related field.
• 2-5+ years of experience with building enclosure consulting.
• Licensure or certifications may be required depending on work performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, inspections, and consulting on building science and infrastructure.
• Conduct site observations of roofing and enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings and site plans; assist with CAD work.
• Develop testing protocols, interpret results, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with forensic assessments and commissioning activities.
• Support design reviews and peer review of specifications.
• Maintain familiarity with building codes and standards (IBC, ASHRAE, ASTM, CSI).
