Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Building Enclosure Associate Principal to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science & Infrastructure team in Baltimore, MD. You will manage building enclosure consulting projects, lead investigations, and guide design consulting while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes technical execution, project management, and mentorship of junior staff within a collaborative, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (NCARB).
• 8+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, testing, BECx, design review, or forensic assessments.
• Licensed or certified: PE, RA, IIBEC certifications, or UW–Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Manage building enclosure consulting projects and lead technical investigations, testing, and design consulting.
• Provide guidance to staff and assist with complex testing and consulting challenges.
• Review reports and deliverables for accuracy and quality.
• Support senior reviews, oversight of investigations, testing programs, and design efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and client growth.
