Job summary

ECS Group is seeking a Structural Associate Principal for its Mid-Atlantic Building Science & Infrastructure team in Baltimore, MD. The role leads structural assessments, investigations, and repair design, while managing a portfolio of projects and mentoring junior staff.

You will work with owners, architects, contractors, and engineers, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with codes, and strong client relationships across diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural), Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience in structural consulting, including assessment, design, and/or forensic investigations.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Lead structural assessments, forensic investigations, and repair design efforts.
• Oversee construction administration activities, including RFI responses and shop drawing review.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development.
• Represent ECS in client meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
