Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks an experienced Controls Service Technician V to design, configure, and commission comprehensive HVAC building control systems at customer sites in Colorado Springs.

You will develop software, verify system functionality, and coordinate submittals while collaborating with multiple trades. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in controls, strong knowledge of LON, Modbus, BACnet, and DOE-compatible controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience programming, installing, and/or commissioning controls systems, including system-level controllers.
• MUST BE PROFICIENT WITH LON (Local Operating Networks).
• Demonstrated knowledge of building automation systems, control theory, and related subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, service, and troubleshoot technically complex building control systems at customer facilities.
• Create flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics as needed for service, repair, or installation work.
• Develop, test, and adjust software programs required to operate systems according to customer facility requirements.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, and submittals to support service execution and project documentation.
• Load and commission system-level and network-level controllers, then verify complete system functionality.
• Troubleshoot system and field issues with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
