Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a senior Building Controls professional to design, configure and service HVAC building control systems and related low voltage subsystems. You will develop software, submit detailed submittals, and ensure proper operation across facilities.

You must have a engineering degree, knowledge of control theory and building automation, plus experience with protocols like BACnet or LON. The role emphasizes quality, safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with minimum five years' experience in construction, service, or HVAC.
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
• Experience integrating low voltage subsystems using industry protocols (LON, BACnet, etc.).
• Ability to explain technical details to non-technical audiences.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and service complex building control systems for client facilities.
• Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, BOMs and electrical schematics.
• Develop and test software to operate control systems as per facility requirements.
• Prepare drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installations.
• Coordinate with sales, service, and subcontractors; provide site training.
