Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a seasoned controls technician to maintain, repair and commission building automation systems across commercial facilities. You will diagnose complex control issues, work directly with customers, and ensure high satisfaction with on-site service and timely documentation.

You will mentor technicians, assist in design and configuration, and support sales with technical proposals. A strong background in HVAC controls and building systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC/building automation.
• Associate degree or technical certification preferred; vocational training acceptable.
• Ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Strong communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Clear writing skills and ability to document service activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building systems with high technical competence.
• Provide excellent on-site customer service and interface to resolve system inefficiencies.
• Mentor junior technicians on building automation and controls.
• Complete project/service documentation accurately and promptly.
• Recommend system enhancements, upgrades, and additional services to customers.
