Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is looking for a Building Automation Technician to diagnose, repair, and optimize complex building control systems on customer sites.

You will mentor junior technicians and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient building performance. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of HVAC controls, familiarity with Modbus/Bacnet, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Qualifications

Minimum of six (6) years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
Ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to participate in on-call rotation every seven weeks.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair building automation systems on site.
Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades and enhancements.
Mentor technicians on building automation activities.
Prepare project and service documentation.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and safety compliance.
Coordinate with branch/service managers on projects.
