Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Lead Building Automation Service Specialist for our Chantilly, VA area. You will lead service tasks on building automation systems, manage preventive maintenance, respond to emergency calls, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver energy-saving solutions.

The role emphasizes safety, training completion, and strong customer relationships across customer organizations, with responsibilities including diagnostics, repairs, and system startup on projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in preventive maintenance and diagnostics of building automation systems.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP networking.
• Engineering concepts, programming, job start-up and checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Ability and willingness to work in various environmental conditions and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies.
• Collaborate with Service Sales, Client Service Managers, and RAM Digital Service Center staff.
• Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers.
• Complete assigned training per the training path.
• Develop relationships at all levels within the customer’s organization and provide strong customer service.
• Identify customer needs and make prioritized recommendations for service adds, upgrades, and escalations.
• Coordinate with contractors on job sites and maintain tools and equipment.
• Respond to service calls (emergency and on-site) and perform repairs on automation systems.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and document services performed.
