Job summary

Carrier, a global leader in climate and energy solutions, is seeking a Building Automation Hardware Engineer for Automated Logic in Indiana. You will develop hardware design packages, select controllers and sensors, and coordinate with software and field teams to ensure successful project execution.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in HVAC or BAS controls, strong reading of drawings, and familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, and IP networking. Hybrid work and on-site collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in HVAC or BAS controls.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building systems.
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and architectural construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop BAS hardware design documentation including controller layouts, wiring diagrams, and network risers.
• Select and apply BAS controllers, sensors, peripherals, actuators, relays, and network devices.
• Interpret construction documents to identify scope and control requirements; coordinate with teams.
• Create and maintain accurate submittal documentation and perform design reviews.
