Job summary

Everpure, Inc. in Santa Clara invites a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and scale build orchestration and containerized environments for large‑scale C/C++ builds. You’ll optimize speed, reliability, reproducibility, and debuggability across local and CI workflows while mentoring teammates.

You’ll partner with hyperscale engineers and tech leads to shape the build systems roadmap and ensure operational excellence, with in‑office work required at Santa Clara campus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in infrastructure, developer productivity, build systems, or platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of modern build systems and toolchains, including dependency management and reproducible builds.
• Hands-on experience with build systems like Make, CMake, Buck, or Bazel.
• Experience with large-scale C/C++ builds and containerized build workflows.
• Experience with Linux-based development environments, Docker, and CI pipelines.
• Familiarity with engineering metrics to improve performance and developer experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain build orchestration systems and tooling.
• Drive improvements to build speed, reliability, reproducibility, debuggability, and ease of use across local development and CI workflows.
• Own and evolve containerized build environments for consistent, isolated builds.
• Tackle large-scale C/C++ build challenges, including dependency pruning and linking tradeoffs.
• Diagnose build-graph issues, flaky builds, and incremental-build regressions.
• Partner with tech leads to shape the team’s technical roadmap for build systems and tooling.
• Collaborate across the Hyperscale Line of Business to prioritize fixes and align tooling investments with product delivery needs.
• Establish operational excellence practices for build infrastructure: observability, incident response, change management, and continuous improvement.
• Use engineering metrics to track/build performance and developer experience.
• Mentor other engineers and foster ownership and collaboration.
