Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Build & Release Engineer for the TeraWave project to architect end-to-end development velocity and maintain the source-to-production pipeline across firmware and cloud services.

You will lead hermetic, reproducible infrastructure, monorepo strategy, and CI/CD at scale with Bazel-centric workflows, Docker/Kubernetes, OTA, and multi-target deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in build/release engineering, DevOps, or SRE with embedded/firmware and cloud services.
• Expert-level Bazel proficiency; strong experience with CMake/Ninja and service build tools.
• Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud orchestration.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash (Go is a plus).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a unified, Bazel-centric build system for firmware and cloud services.
• Create hermetic, reproducible pipelines across CI/CD and HIL simulations.
• Manage cross-compilation toolchains for ARM/RISC-V and cloud runtimes.
• Design scalable CI/CD pipelines with unit/integration tests and deployment strategies.
• Automate OTA image production and container deployments for cloud clusters.
• Oversee monorepo structure ensuring velocity and clear component boundaries.
