Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Financial and Budget Analyst to support ICE at DHS. This fully remote role focuses on budget formulation, execution, data analysis, and dashboard development for mission delivery teams.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience, and 10+ years in federal financial/budget analysis. DHS experience and ability to lead analysts are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 10+ years in dynamic customer delivery environments.
• Experience delivering for DHS or US government agencies preferred.
• 5+ years of federal financial and budget analysis experience.
• Strong program planning, budgeting, cost analysis and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead and direct a group of analysts.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and portfolio management to stakeholders.
• Participate in budget formulation and execution processes.
• Prepare briefings to senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop costing data and analyses to identify financial savings.
• Capture budget requirements and analyze portfolio issues.
• Produce financial management deliverables (white papers, risk assessments).
• Assess projects for justification, prioritization and business value.
• Assist in Multi-Year Planning activities and budget formulation.
• Coordinate budget formulation exercises with stakeholders.
• Develop leadership briefings to identify issues and risks.
• Monitor budget execution and ensure timely obligations.
• Lead analyses of budget needs and alignment with mission needs.
• Collaborate to address changing requirements with expedient solutions.
• Translate complex data into concise narrative and visualize with PowerPoint.
