Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Transportation Bridges Project Manager to lead complex bridge and structures projects across Hawai‘i.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk, coordinating interdisciplinary teams from planning through close-out, while building strong client relationships with HDOT and county agencies. The role requires a PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months, 15+ years’ bridge experience, and proven PM leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Hawaii Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• 15+ years of bridge/structural engineering experience, including 10+ years in PM roles.
• Proven delivery of projects for HDOT and county agencies in Hawaii.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary bridge projects and client-facing leadership.
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, NBIS, and HDOT standards; environmental permitting familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for bridge projects—planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, change control.
• Lead concept development, design coordination, and construction support across disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet AASHTO LRFD, HDOT standards, and safety requirements.
• Oversee QA/QC plans, reviews, and constructability checks.
• Engage agencies/ stakeholders; prepare permit packages and environmental docs.
• Support pursuits, proposals, and interviews; manage client relationships.
