Job summary

Volkert is seeking a Senior Certified Bridge Inspector for the Southeast Region based in Maitland, FL, Tampa, FL, Miami, FL, or Sunrise, FL. The role involves performing bridge safety inspections across Florida and beyond, writing reports, and assisting with training of junior inspectors.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of bridge inspection experience, familiarity with SNBI and FDOT applications, and the ability to travel as required. A strong proficiency in Word/Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of bridge/ancillary inspection experience.
• Knowledge of SNBI, national bridge inspection methods, evaluations and report prep.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• FDOT applications knowledge preferred.
• Ability to travel interstate and perform overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform topside and underwater bridge inspections from culverts to large spans.
• Develop and review inspection reports; assist with report writing and data entry.
• Train and mentor assistant inspectors as needed; visit bridges across FL and the U.S.
