Job summary

Volkert, Inc. is seeking a Senior Certified Bridge Inspector for our Southeast Region, based in Maitland, FL, with travel to Tampa, Miami, Sunrise, or other Florida sites as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and focuses on bridge safety inspections and report development. The position involves field inspections across bridges, including topside and underwater work, plus training assistance for junior inspectors and data-entry duties in the office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of bridge and/or ancillary inspection experience.
• Understanding of national bridge inspection methods and SNBI evaluations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• FDOT applications knowledge preferred.
• Ability to travel out of state; overnight stays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge inspections topside and underwater on a range of structures.
• Develop and review inspection reports.
• Office tasks include report writing, review, and data entry.
