Job summary

Apex seeks an Engineering Manager, Bridge Engineering to lead inspection, design, rehabilitation and load rating projects across transportation programs. You will provide technical oversight, mentor staff, and ensure QA/QC across deliverables.

You will serve as senior resource, lead state DOT and municipal projects, collaborate with clients and regulators, and help grow Apex's bridge engineering capabilities across regions.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• Active PE license preferred.
• 15+ years bridge engineering experience.
• Experience leading bridge inspection programs.
• Strong communication and client interaction skills.
• Mentoring and technical leadership capability.
• Knowledge of bridge inspection and transportation design standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical authority for bridge inspection, rehabilitation, and structural projects.
• Lead bridge inspection programs for state DOTs and local governments.
• Perform and oversee structural analyses, load ratings, and condition assessments.
• Provide QA/QC review of calculations, plans, and reports.
• Support bridge design projects from preliminary to construction.
• Mentor engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with clients and regulators to deliver outcomes.
• Contribute to proposals and transportation pursuits.
• Coordinate with project teams across regions.
