Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Bridge Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to lead design and plan development, perform structural analysis of highways, railroads, and bike/ped structures, and support bridge inspections and load ratings.

You will provide engineering and technical leadership, work with a motivated team across career levels, and contribute to project management and client service while advancing your professional licensure.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis (M.S. a plus)
• EIT required, ability to obtain PE
• 5-10 years’ experience in the design of structures preferred
• ADOT project experience is a plus
• Strong technical skills relevant to bridge/structural design and analysis
• Knowledge of roadway drafting and design software such as Bentley MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
• Ability to design and produce various PS&E in a team setting
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, self-starter
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills, and a desire to learn

Responsibilities

• Lead design and plan development tasks for bridge projects
• Perform structural analysis and design of highway, railroad, and bike/ped structures
• Conduct bridge inspections and load ratings as required
• Provide management and technical leadership to a multidisciplinary team
• Collaborate with clients and senior staff to advance project goals
