Job summary
AIG Technical Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the structural design and delivery of bridge projects in Houston. The candidate will apply extensive experience in bridge analysis, design, and project management to deliver safe and efficient infrastructure solutions within multidisciplinary teams.
Ideal candidates will hold a Texas P.E. license (or be able to obtain), a Civil/Structural engineering degree, and 15+ years of TxDOT bridge experience, with strong leadership,
Qualifications
- P.E. licensure in Texas or the ability to obtain within three months.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Approximately 15+ years of progressive civil/structural engineering experience focusing on bridge design.
- Strong background delivering TxDOT bridge design projects and familiarity with TxDOT drawings, TxGirders, and MASH-compliant rail systems.
- Proficiency in MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or LARSA 4D; knowledge of HEC-RAS and PLAXIS/GeoStudio is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing, team leadership, and client-facing communication.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural analysis, design, and load rating of complex bridge structures.
- Ensure strict compliance with AASHTO LRFD, TxDOT manuals, and regional standards.
- Direct the production of complete TxDOT PS&E submittal packages.
- Perform and review 3D bridge modeling using OBM and FEA software.
- Oversee foundation design and geotechnical integration with geotech engineers.
- Coordinate with transportation engineers, roadway designers, and other disciplines.
- Serve as the Primary Engineer-of-Record on assigned bridges, stamping calculations.
- Mentor junior/mid-level bridge engineers and CAD/BIM technicians.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings, business development, and proposal preparation.
- Identify project risks and devise practical solutions.
