Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Houston, TX team. The role focuses on analysis and design of bridges and related transportation structures, using AASHTO LRFD standards and state requirements.

You will collaborate with clients, manage design documents, and mentor junior staff in a dynamic, on-site office environment. Requirements include a Bachelor's in civil engineering, PE license, and 4–7 years of bridge design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; PE license required.
• 4–7 years of bridge design experience.
• TXDOT Bridge Design familiarity and design-build knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design structural components for bridges and related systems.
• Deliver contract documents including construction plans and design calculations.
• Perform design per AASHTO LRFD and state requirements.
• Provide project management assistance and coordination with clients and partners.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team leadership.
• Develop detailed designs and drawings for transportation structures (bridges, walls, culverts).
• Coordinate with project team and contractors to ensure standards compliance.
• Provide internal quality control of drawings and calculations.
• Support project schedules and budgets, respond to RFIs.
